Virtualmin makes it possible to quickly and efficently manage all of the sites we host, as well as allowing our customers to manage certain aspects of their site such as their MySQL or their DNS information. Our Virtualmin panel also includes a custom-made account management system currenlty in development stages to enable our subscribers to manage additional aspects of their hosting account such as billing and contact information without requiring sending support tickets each time a change must be made.
It's a matter of overhead costs versus quality To date, Virtualmin is the only fully GPL control panel for web hosting. GPL, or General Public License, effectively means that we are able to provide Virtualmin as our control panel at no additional cost to us. Which in turn means that we can offer better service because we don't have that overhead cost holding us back. Our services cost us less, and we pass that along to make them cost less for you. Not only that, but being entirely GPL aside from the software we have written ourselves means that it is far easier to stay up to date with the latest offerings, and more secure because any potential problems are found and fixed in a far more timely manner than most paid solutions have.
It's as easy as any other hosting panel. Some people may be confused at first by the different names for features, but all of the standard functions are well documented by the developer for your convenience. Here, have a look at what's inside the box. Please don't mind any SSL errors, our SSL is used primarially for it's encryption capability. They are real certificates, but most browsers do not recognize them at the present time.
